2014-15 Season Open Call Audition

Auditions are being held at Nashville Children’s Theatre located at 25 Middleton St., Nashville, TN 37210.

Please call (615) 349-3217 for an appointment or fill out an audition request form below. Office hours: M – F, 9AM – 5PM. Online requests, voice messages, and phone calls will all be responded to equally, with appointment slots being filled in the order the requests were received. To assure this, if leaving a voicemail message be sure to mention any times you would be unavailable during the posted audition hours, as well as any preference you have (subject to availability). If making an online request, be sure to fill out the form completely.

Please bring one current headshot and résumé.

IF AUDITIONING ONLY FOR NON-MUSICAL SHOWS: Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues together totaling no more than three (3) minutes.

IF AUDITIONING FOR SHOWS INCLUDING MUSICAL: Please prepare 1 or 2 monologues and up to 32 bars of a song, together totaling no more than three (3) minutes. Accompanist provided on MONDAY (whole day) and TUESDAY (1:00p-5p only). Please bring sheet music in your key.

Equity Stage Managers are not being sought at this time, however stage managers may send resumes to Cecilia@tennesseerep.org.

Callbacks for specific Tennessee Repertory Theatre productions will be scheduled for a later time.

No dancing will be required at this audition. Roles are for adult, professional actors, and Equity actors must show their valid membership cards. SPT principal’s minimum weekly salary is $462.00.

Please note: Tennessee Rep is seeking local performers, as no housing is available.

  • Vanya – 50’s, living in Bucks County. Resigned to his life, more or less.
  • Sonia – early 50’s, Vanya’s adopted sister living with him. Discontent, regretful.
  • Masha – 50’s, Vanya’s sister, glamorous and successful actress.
  • Spike – 29 or younger, an aspiring actor, sexy, self-absorbed, Masha’s new companion.
  • Nina – early 20’s, lovely, sincere would-be actress, star struck and energetic.
  • Cassandra – any age, any race, cleaning lady and soothsayer.

Full and fair casting consideration will be given to ethnic minorities, women, seniors, and actors with disabilities. Performers of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
